Specialty Training · Orthopedics

Orthopedics

Covering trauma, joint, spine, microsurgery, and bone tumors — a high-demand specialty for Belt & Road countries where trauma and degenerative disease are prevalent.

How the three schools differ

For the same specialty, the three schools have different strengths and entry points — the basis for matching a training provider to your needs.

Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine National Orthopedic Medical Center

The Sixth People's Hospital is the National Orthopedic Medical Center, the origin of "limb replantation" and "the Chinese hand", internationally renowned for trauma orthopedics, microsurgery, and joint reconstruction.

Fudan University Shanghai Medical College

Known for Huashan Hospital orthopedics and sports medicine, with a relatively focused scale and comprehensive strength.

West China Medical Center, Sichuan University

West China Hospital orthopedics ranks among the top nationwide, with complete joint, spine, trauma, and bone-tumor subspecialties — a western China center for orthopedic care and training.

Training System

Tiered Orthopedics Training

Building on Chinese teaching resources and a standardized large-animal training platform, this program creates a closed-loop model: online theory + local simulation + hands-on practice in China + clinical implementation + official certification.

DimensionDescription
Three-tier progressionBeginner (basic internal fixation · assistant entry) → Intermediate (routine procedures · independent operation) → Advanced (complex joint/spine procedures · clinical teaching)
Five-stage ladderL0 theory → L1 dry simulation → L2 wet / ex-vivo → L3 large-animal live surgery → L4 clinical preceptorship → L5 certification & authorization
Three-site division of laborOnline: recorded theory and live surgical review; Home country: training at your own simulation center and post-return clinical case accumulation; In China: large-animal live surgery, observation, and standardized graduation assessment
Five-stage ladder

A six-layer training path from theory to certification

Each level must be passed before advancing; those who fail repeat training to protect practical capability and certificate value.

L0

Theory learning

Orthopedic anatomy + imaging interpretation + recorded procedures, LMS exam release

L1

Dry simulation

Fracture model reduction & fixation + arthroscopy trainer, OSATS scoring

L2

Wet / ex-vivo

Cadaver specimen + ex-vivo joint practice, dual scoring

L3

Large-animal live surgery

Sheep arthroscopy, porcine spine fixation, full live-surgery workflow

L4

Clinical preceptorship

Volume met + complication rate below benchmark + preceptor sign-off

L5

Certification & authorization

Three-tier certification · tiered authorization · certificate verification

Four standardized training packages

Adapts to different trainee baselines and career needs; supports segmented participation for working physicians, minimum 10 days per visit. Large-animal cases, observation duration, and clinical case volume are all adjustable.

Assessment · Certification

Four-level assessment → three-tier certification

Entry leveling, individualized teaching, level-by-level assessment, and remediation for those who fail; certificates are issued only after passing all four assessments.

Assessment typeFormatPassing standard
Theory assessmentLMS randomized exam, anti-switch online testAdvanced procedures add complication-specific management
Simulation assessmentOSATS international scoring, device + expert scoring, full video recordMeet minimum operation score and completion for the tier; failure triggers remediation
Large-animal assessmentFull live-surgery procedure, dual-instructor independent scoringStandardized, no major errors, proper complication management; retake on failure
Clinical assessmentCase-volume verification, complication-rate statistics, preceptor signature, case archiveComplete tier surgery volume, complication rate below benchmark, granted operating privileges
Certification levelCertificate issuedEndorsement / sealEffect

IntermediateAuthorization for Independent Routine Orthopedic ProceduresLead preceptor signature + training center official certificationgranted independent operating rights for routine fracture procedures
AdvancedAdvanced Orthopedics · Operator + Teacher Dual QualificationTraining center + university/society joint endorsementcomplex-procedure operating + teaching qualification
Certificate verification: every certificate has a unique number, verifiable off-site on the bilingual (RU/EN) official site; accompanied by trainee records, case counts, and preceptor-signed documents. Key certificates can be blockchain-notarized — fully traceable and unforgeable.
Scope of practice (important): this training issues a certificate of training completion only; it does not constitute or replace licensure in the host country. Whether a graduate may practice independently at home is determined by local regulations. Chinese experts provide hands-on teaching only within China; in other countries we provide observation guidance, simulation training, and remote case review only, and do not perform primary surgical procedures locally.
Core Advantages

Advantages of China's training system

Massive clinical case volume, complete tiered progression, large-animal live surgery, clinical observation, foreign-language friendly, credit mutual recognition, high cost-effectiveness.

Want to arrange training in Orthopedics?

We are not an intermediary introducing you to a university.
We operate an end-to-end clinical training system — standardized curricula, real hospital rotations, preceptor certification, assessment and evaluation, insurance and emergency response, and data reporting — all coordinated by us as a single responsible entity.

So when you contact us, don't ask "which school do you know?" Instead, tell us directly: what capability your physicians need to build, and what kind of training system your institution wants to establish.
Describe your focus area, your institution, and your cooperation intent by email, and we will give you a complete project proposal — not a list of schools.
